Regina Dominican High School is currently seeking candidates for Head Varsity Swimming Coach for the 2008 season. Regina Dominican is a college preparatory Catholic school for women in Wilmette, IL. As a member of the IHSA and of the Girls’ Catholic Athletic Conference, we strive to develop our athletic programs with students who are committed to success in academics, ethics and athletics.
Requirements
Candidate must possess excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to initiate and complete projects with specific deadlines, and knowledge of IHSA rules and regulations. Past playing experience and/or coaching experience at the club, high school or collegiate level is preferred. Candidate must be ASEP certified or have an Illinois state teaching certification. Archdiocese of Chicago Virtus training is also required.
The Regina 2008 swimming season begins with tryouts August 13, 2008 and continues with meets beginning in September until the IHSA tournament in mid-November. Meets and practices are held after-school at the OLPH and Loyola Academy pools.

The Regina 2008 cross county season begins with tryouts on August 13th and with meets on a weekly basis through the IHSA state meet tournament in late-October. Team composition has averaged approximately 25-30 runners the past two seasons.
Availability for a Regina 2008 summer running program is also a very important part of this coaching position, as this will allow familiarity with the rest of the coaching staff, the athletes and the Regina athletic department.
